Making Disciples of Men

Making Disciples of Men: A Biblical Guide

What does it take to mold males into men of steady faith in an era brimming with distractions and worldliness? The role of discipling men is very significant in the character of the church. Rooted within biblical teachings, discipling men is not just the task of molding men into devout Christians, but molding, teaching and training them to become mature followers of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Discipling Men

Discipling men is a dynamic process that empowers men to become disciples and followers of the teachings of Jesus Christ. But what do these teachings entail? How can this process be made more effective and impactful?

Being a man, according to Bible, means displaying resilience in times of trials, humility in success, and love for all, irrespective of internal or external differences. Galatians 5:22-23 teaches about the Fruit of the Spirit, highlighting love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness and self-control, as virtues.

These virtues set the foundation for discipling men.

Discipling Men: A Process

The journey to becoming a godly man requires hard praying, persistent effort and a continuous process of learning, understanding, and following the Word of God. This process involves:

  1. Biblical Instruction: This includes regular reading, understanding, and following the Holy Bible, which acts as a guide to every aspect of life.
  1. Prayer and Communion: It demands a life of prayer and communion with the Lord and His people.
  1. Fellowship: It requires participation in a community that fosters growth and supports each member’s spiritual journey.
  1. Service: It calls for actively serving within the Church and community, building a heart for people, and utilizing the God-given gifts to fulfill His purposes.

Discipling Men: The Role of the Bible

We can't ignore the fundamental role the Bible plays in discipling men. The Bible acts as a the eternal roadmap, demonstrating the path for every man willing to become a true disciple of Jesus. It dives deeper into the life and teachings of Jesus and the church- imparting valuable knowledge that helps men grow spiritually and morally.

Can we then say that the Bible is the ultimate handbook for discipling men?

Absolutely!

Discipling men is an fundamental pillar of the Christian faith. It not only encourages men to grow closer to God, but also equips them with the knowledge and skills to become better individuals, husbands, fathers, and leaders.

Be Like John

John the Baptist knew who he was what he was doing and he knew that the Son of God was coming after him and he was sent to prepare the way for the Son of God

How did John the Baptist know this?

He knew it because he was someone who heard from God

***

God is talking to you and He has been talking to you

Get in his Word and get in prayer until you hear what He is telling YOU

***

More ?

Become like John the Baptist

Becoming like John the Baptist clears away a lot of the crud of life, gives you purpose direction destiny and comfort

So..once again..

Become like John the Baptist

He Preached . . .

John the Baptist came and preached repentance.

He did not preach prosperity. He did not preach the latest fad

He preached repentance

God had set the whole thing up as a NEEDED requirement that repentance go before Jesus

-so the people's hearts would be right

***

If your church does not teach and practice true humility and repentance. . .

Jesus ain't showing up

The King Could Not Sleep

" On that night the king could not sleep'. Esther 6:1

***
Mordecai had been living hard for the Lord and stood up against opposition in the middle of it.
Haman didn't like Mordecai and built a hanging gallows just for Mordecai.
***
What are the odds that the exact day the gallows are built for Mordecai is the exact night that the king cannot sleep
AND
Mordecai's name is brought before the king ?
***
Hmmm
***
>>>How hard are you living for the Lord?
***
Ready ?
I have another question for you. . .
>>>Are you living hard enough for the Lord
For Him to wake up a king
-on your behalf??
***
Today is a brand new day
Start
Now
***
***
God DOES see
***
>>> I promise !!

Christians should be VERY bold

God needs some bold people. Not brash, not obnoxious

Bold

God needs people with extremely strong conviction.

People of action.

People who hear God's heart and TAKE STEPS to fulfill it.

.

.

" Do' ers...

. . .in other words πŸ™‚

***

>>> Passive, timid Christianity will always produce passive timid results.

***

Look at Peter on the boat.

Jesus didn't rebuke Peter for trying... He literally made the water firm underneath Peter

With ONE WORD

and it

WOULD HAVE STAYED THAT WAY

if Peter had totally kept his eyes on Jesus

***

I am trying my best to preach and teach the character of our God

" Walking on water type boldness"

Got it ?

***

Gear up

:) :) :)

Praise is DIFFERENT than Worship

Praise is DIFFERENT than Worship.

***

Praise in the Hebrew is yada... There is a whole lot to those simple four letters but in a word it can be boiled down to:

To shoot forth

"Worship" in the original language boils down to:

To kneel, or to kiss

***

When you think of the Lord does Praise SHOOT FORTH out of your spirit?

And

When you think of the Lord do you want to just KNEEL down

-and cry Holy ?

***

Praise, worship, adoration...

It is all part of the language of God's " inner circle"

***

L-E-A-R-N the language

:) :) :)
